After nearly two months of hard work and group matches, at 5.20 pm on December 5, 2020, undergraduates from the School of Public Policy & Administration (SPPA) won the 27th Men's Basketball Championship.
The weather is cold and the temperature is very low. The blood of a basketball game can always fade the chill of winter. With a whistle cut across the sky, the game officially began. With the confidence of a complete victory, the basketball players are on the court with ease. Both offense and defense, passion and stability are intertwined. The ease of dribbling, the accuracy of passing, and the determination of pitching are all performed on the court. The cooperation between the players becomes increasingly tacit as the court runs in. At the end of the first half, our team temporarily took the lead with a 30:15 advantage.
In the second half of the game, the sky gradually darkened, but the belief in the players' hearts to win is like a burning torch, lighting up the sky. Every time they turn around, they bring up the smooth lines of the corners of their clothes; every time they jump, they dance with the strength of the strong wind; every time they handover, they pass on trust; every time they run, they show the energy of the youth. With the tacit cooperation of the players, the score gap was slightly enlarged. In the end, our team won the final victory of the school tournament with an absolute advantage of 64:47.
Every victory is like a bamboo knot. What others see is the amazing height of bamboos but only we know how difficult it is to walk step by step. Fifteen years of persistence eventually paid off. May every student of public management have a firm belief in his or her heart, like these young guys on the court.
