The doctoral program of public management at Chongqing University has interdisciplinary characteristics of public management, theoretical economics, sociology, political science, psychology, management science and engineering. The training goal of doctoral students in public management is based on social responsibility and public spirit, focusing on the actual needs of economic and social development in China. Graduates are expected to master public management theories, methods and technologies; be familiar with the frontiers and directions of public management and public policy; and be able to work in social organizations, scientific research institutes and governmental agencies at all levels. The main research directions are: public administration and government governance, public human resources and social security, land resources and urban management, emergency management, public economy and public policy.
