Xingyu Qian received Ph.D in Public Management from the School of Public Policy & Management, Tsinghua University. Now he is an assistant professor at the School of Public Affairs, Chongqing University. His research interests focus on urban studies, local governance, and Public Policy. During his Ph.D studies, he was awarded the National Scholarship for Postgraduates two times in 2019 and 2020. And he has published a series of articles in SSCI-listed journals and meanwhile acts as reviewers for SSCI-listed journals including Journal of Local Self-Government, Growth and Change, Housing Policy Debate, Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering. Besides, he has played an important role in some key research projects such as the Key Project of National Social Science Fund, Humanities and Social Science Fund of the Ministry of Education, etc. Currently, he is doing research on urban spatial governance amidst state-society relations in China, as well as housing issues from the perspective of property rights in China.
